Vanessa Baum is an educator and activist passionate about the health and wellbeing of communities, particularly youth and their families. With a Master of Public Health, Vanessa is passionate about creating healthier communities through youth work grounded in research. She has experience managing a rape crisis center’s education program, updating Title IX policy at the UT Health Science Center of Houston, and partnered with the ACLU of Texas to create more affirming school environments for transgender youth. Vanessa believes that preventing violence comes not only through formal programming, but through challenging norms supportive of violence in our everyday lives.
