Dr. Shannon Spriggs Murdoch has spent the last 16 years heavily involved in the prevention of all forms of gender-based violence, both in the United States and Australia. She has had the opportunity to have discussions with thousands of people worldwide about the issues they face in their everyday lives, and the far-reaching impact of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, sexual harassment, gender roles and language.

Shannon currently works as a senior consultant for the Institute for Sport and Social Justice.  She served as the Prevention Director for the Texas Council on Family Violence from 2017 – 2019, and previous to that, she developed and delivered the MATE curriculum in Australia from 2010 – 2017.

Shannon also delivered and assisted with the development of the MVP curriculum across the US, Australia, Bahrain UAE,Basra, Balad and Baghdad Iraq, Sweden and Scotland.  Shannon has facilitated over 800 training sessions.  She also has significant experience developing trainers in multiple curricula and has facilitated dozens of Train the Trainer programs, including work with the US and Australian Military.
