Domestic Violence has been shown to escalate over time and can lead to many tragedies. This includes mass shootings in many locations such as: workplaces, places of worship, and retail establishments. This session will outline best practices for when confronted with an active shooter situation. This course provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to these potentially lethal situations.

Learning Objectives: As a result of this training, attendees will be able to:

  • Outline what actions are best practices when the workplace or business is confronted with an active shooter.
  • Identify and describe indicators of violence that can be observed in the workplace.
  • Articulate procedures and plans for preventing and planning for potential active shooters.
  • Increase awareness on how to manage the consequences of an active shooter, post event.
