Immigration is a hot topic, especially under the new administration. While much of immigration rules and policies is in flux, there is some basic information that everyone should understand about immigration and the immigrant community. Of particular importance is the fact that immigrant victims in the United States (both direct and indirect) may qualify for legal status, but finding them is the challenge. In addition, advocates, law enforcement, and the immigrant themselves need to be aware of the direction that this administration is going with regard to this controversial topic. Immigrant victims of crime, domestic violence and human trafficking are hiding in plain sight in every community. This workshop is designed to offer basic information on how to find them and what services they qualify for.
