Forensic Nurse, Courtney’s SAFE Place/The Turning Point of Collin County
Robyn Bowles is a forensic nurse and one of the key partners that helped develop Courtney’s SAFE Place, North Texas’ first freestanding forensic care clinic located within The Crisis Center of Collin County. She has been a Registered Nurse for 31 years. Active in her own community in sexual assault awareness and teen safety, Robyn’s passion collided with her career in 2014 when she began working as a Forensic Nurse. She is certified by The Texas Office of the Attorney General as an Adult/Adolescent/Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and board certified by The International Association of Forensic Nursing Science as a SANE-A and SANE-P. She previously served as Collin County’s Sexual Assault Response Team Coordinator facilitated multidisciplinary interagency collaboration to improve community response to sexual assault. Robyn serves on the TAASA Public Policy Action Committee and the 104th Texas House of Representatives Task Force on Sexual Violence as a forensic healthcare subcommittee member.
Robin will be a co-presenter for Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault with Dr. La Tanya Thomas and Haneefa Rakeeb.
