What CEUs Do You Offer?

We will continue to update the CEU page as we receive new information and confirmation. We anticipate the approval for Mental Health (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologists, LCDC, TCOLE, and TDCJ-CIAD).

The 2019 North Texas Facing Family Violence Conference is an approved provider of Continuing Education credit on behalf of the organizations listed below:

  • Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) 17.5 hours
  • Texas State Board of Examiners Of Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT), Texas State Board Of Examiners Of Professional Counseling (LPC), Texas State Board Of Social Work Examiners (LMSW) 17.5 hours
  • Texas Department of Criminal Justice/Community Justice Assistance Division 16.25 hours

The Cruelty Connection: Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Violence by Preventing Animal Abuse and Pet Lives Matter was approved by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for animal control officers for 1.5 hours of CEU credit for each session.

How do I Receive Credit for CEUs?

Your certificate (Course Verification Form for each day) will include provider numbers for this Conference. All attendees (with the exception of Texas Peace Officers seeking TCOLE hours) are responsible for self-reporting hours to their respective field.

Is There a Fee For Parking?

Parking at Collin College is free. Depending on the time you arrive you may need to walk a short distance to the conference center as students attending class can fill up the nearby spots.

What Food Is Included in the Conference?

Please see our Schedule for details. There is also a small food court in the building.

Can I Advertise My Business To Attendees?

We have an Exhibitor area that is appropriate for non-profits and corporations who focus on family violence prevention. Please see our Exhibitors page for more information. We also have many sponsorship opportunities including program advertisements, conference bags/inserts and session sponsorships. Please contact cccfvc.jlccteam@gmail.com for specifics.

Can I Speak At the Conference

Our conference schedule is determined around the beginning of the year. Please subscribe to our newsletter (select EVENT: Annual Conference on Family Violence) to be notified when we are accepting proposals. 

Where is the Conference Located?

Our conference is held at the Spring Creek campus of Collin College (2800 E Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074), Legends Conference Center. Turn into Collin College from East Spring Creek Parkway and look for the CCCFV signs. Please see the Our Venue page for a Google Map and photos.

How Do You Run Such a Great Conference At This Amazing Price?

The Collin County Council on Family Violence is fortunate to have the Junior League of Collin County as our partner in organizing this annual event. 

Refund Policy

Cancellations made by September 25th will receive a full refund. Cancellations made by October 4th may receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made after October 4th are not eligible for a refund but may transfer their ticket to another individual as long as the transfer takes place prior to the conference start on October 23. All registered attendees are required to pay in full after October 4th whether they attend or not.
