Attorney – LASSA Project Manager, Texas RioGrande Legal Aid

Adriana Rodriguez is an attorney at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc (TRLA). Adriana advocates for victims of violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She primarily practices family and immigration law. Since October 2015, Adriana has served as manager of TRLA’s Legal Aid for Survivors of Sexual Assault (LASSA) project, funded by the Texas Access to Justice Foundation. Adriana is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. Before law school, Ms. Rodriguez was a 2006 Teach for America Corps Member and taught 9th grade English in Houston, Texas. She attended Rice University in Houston where she studied English and Hispanic Studies. Adriana was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. TRLA’s LASSA project is focused on providing civil legal services to survivors of sexual violence in 182 Texas counties. www.legalaidforsurvivors.org TRLA often collaborates with law enforcement agencies to advocate for victims. TRLA also establishes MOUs with domestic violence shelters and rape crisis centers throughout south and northwest Texas to empower survivors of violence.
